IIsc opened its gate to the public as part of its Open Day 2013 celebration on 2nd March, 2013. Thousands of people came to IISc, to know what is happening in the premier research insititute in the country.Each Department had its own unique set of events, which were not only entertaining but thought provoking.
UG Department had its own ideas. From liquid Nitrogen Icecreams to lightning inside the lab, it had a wide variety of events attracting and engaging people of all ages. There were documentary screenings throughout the day.
Aerospace Department organised a mini-air show; some 10 aeroplane models flew high in the sky with some breathtaking display.
